This page is where you'll find out how to play some famous Rolling Stones songs in open g tuning. Of course, it's the interplay between the guitars in standard tuning and open g tuning that produces that famous 'Stones' sound.Let's look at Honky Tonk Women and Brown Sugar first – two classic Rolling Stones hits!


Here's the tab for Honky Tonk Women. It's very close to the way Keith plays it except that the harmonic notes are missing on the D chord, at the end of the first verse.This classic Stones songs is based around 4 chords – G, A7, C and D, but if you just play the chords in standard tuning it won’t sound right, so retune to open G tuning.
